We are looking to recruit a Tram Cleaning Operative to provide a high standard of cleaning duties and related maintenance duties in a safe and controlled environment as directed by the Business Manager at Croydon.
Full-time 40 hours per week.
Hours of work: Mon to Fri 9.00 am to 5:00 pm with overtime to include weekend working.
£14.80 per hour. Previous commercial cleaning experience (preferably at least one year) is essential.
Cleaning Operative DAYTIME
- Schedule: 7.5 hour shift with a 30 mins unpaid lunch break
- Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm with overtime to include weekend working which is either a Saturday or Sunday
- Experience: cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
- Work Location: Croydon Tram Link Depot start and finish
- Pay: £14.80 per hour Mon – Fri and enhanced rate at Weekends
- Job Type: Full-time (3 months’ probation period)
JOB PURPOSE
To provide a high standard of cleaning duties, and related maintenance duties in a safe and controlled environment as directed by the Supervisor & Business Manager at Croydon
This is a cleaning role and requires bending, lifting and pushing a cleaning trolley and being on your feet for long periods
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To carry out the following duties in accordance with the contract specifications or as directed by the Supervisor, and Business Manager:
- To provide cleaning and maintenance duties as requested by the Business Manager.
- General cleaning activities include but are not limited to : Sweeping, mopping, litter picking and waste bin emptying and disposal of waste, biohazard cleaning
- To carry out all tasks with due regard to the contract specification and all legislation including Health and Safety, and personal hygiene.
- To ensure correct materials, equipment and methods are used at all times and equipment is kept clean and in good working order.
- Assemble equipment as necessary and check, clean and store machinery, and chemicals safely after use and report any defects to the Supervisor/ Business Manager.
- Ensure that the Graffiti Solutions personal protective equipment is worn and used at all times during work hours and maintained in a clean condition.
- Always wear identification badge.
- Report any accident, incident, or unusual occurrence, obtaining names and addresses of any witness, members of staff or public involved, relaying to the Business Manager in accordance with Company procedures.
- Attend staff meetings and training courses as directed by the Supervisor/Business Manager.
- To respond to environmental emergencies, eg snow clearing, grit laying and spillage clearing.
General administration relating to:
- Accurate completion of daily work report sheets, with the use of digital tablets & photography as evidence of work completed if required.
- The Cleaning Operative may also carry out such other duties as the management may from time to time reasonably require.
