Randstad CPE is currently recruiting for reliable and hard-working General Labourers for a busy construction project based in Croydon.

 

This is a hands-on role suited to individuals who are physically fit, proactive, and committed to keeping the site running smoothly. You will be working alongside a professional site management team and assisting various trades.

 

Location: Croydon, South London

Pay Rate: £13.68 - £15.80 per hour (Dependent on experience)

Contract Type: Temporary / Ongoing

Start Date: TBC

Applicants without a valid CSCS card will not be considered.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • General Site Labouring: Performing manual tasks as directed by the Site Manager.
  • Material Movement: Loading and unloading deliveries, and distributing building materials to tradespeople across the site.
  • Site Clearance: keeping the work environment safe and tidy by clearing rubble, sweeping up, and managing waste into skips.
  • Assisting Trades: Providing support to bricklayers, carpenters, and other trades when required.
  • Safety Adherence: Ensuring all health and safety rules are followed and full PPE is worn at all times.

 

The Candidate:

 

We are looking for candidates who are punctual, professional, and ready to work hard. You must be able to work well in a team and follow instructions clearly.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Valid CSCS Card (Green card minimum) – Essential.
  • Full PPE (Hard hat, High-visibility vest, and steel-toe safety boots) – Essential.
  • Previous experience in general labouring or construction is preferred.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Must be reliable and available for full shifts.
